His Highness Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Ruler’s Representative in the Al Ain Region, has received a high-level delegation from the Abu Dhabi Agriculture and Food Safety Authority (ADAFSA), headed by His Excellency Dr Tariq Ahmed Al Ameri, Acting Director-General of the Authority.

The meeting was attended by His Excellency Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan and focused on reviewing the latest developments in ADAFSA’s strategic projects aimed at strengthening Abu Dhabi’s agriculture, livestock, and food safety sectors.

During the meeting, His Highness was briefed on a range of key initiatives designed to support local food production, improve the efficiency of food supply chains, and develop infrastructure across the agriculture and livestock sectors. The delegation presented updates on ongoing and upcoming projects that aim to increase productivity, enhance sustainability, and ensure the long-term resilience of the emirate’s food systems.

His Highness also reviewed a comprehensive presentation outlining ADAFSA’s plans to further develop food safety systems, strengthen inspection and monitoring mechanisms, and expand awareness programmes related to food products. The presentation highlighted the Authority’s efforts to promote research and innovation in agricultural development, food production, and livestock protection through the adoption of advanced technologies and international best practices.

Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan reaffirmed the UAE leadership’s strong commitment—under the guidance of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE—to advancing the agriculture, livestock, and food safety sectors, given their critical role in supporting the nation’s strategic food security goals.

His Highness stressed the importance of continuing to develop these vital sectors through targeted initiatives and high-impact projects within a comprehensive and sustainable framework that enhances productivity and supports long-term growth.

Members of the ADAFSA delegation expressed their sincere appreciation to His Highness Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan for his continued support of the Authority’s programmes and initiatives. They reaffirmed ADAFSA’s commitment to advancing sustainable agricultural and food development in line with the UAE leadership’s vision and future aspirations.
