The ruler of Sharjah, His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, has issued a new order to create the Sharjah Creative Quarter (SCQ). The SCQ will be a place for new ideas and creativity. It will have the power to make decisions on its own and will have the money and staff it needs to reach its goals. The SCQ is fully owned by the Sharjah government. It is meant to support industries that need creativity and help talented people in fields like design.

The SCQ will be based in University City in Sharjah. It may also grow into other parts of Sharjah if the ruler decides. The SCQ will work with both government groups and private companies as needed.
The SCQ has some important goals:
1. It wants to be a place where professionals in fashion, jewelry, product design, and crafts can work and grow.
2. It will try to bring in big brands from the region and help promote modern design styles.
3. It will provide spaces where people can make things and learn about culture.
4. It will show off new brands and modern fashion ideas in the region.
The SCQ has some rules about what it will do:
1. It will work with local, regional, and international organizations in design.
2. It will offer services and places to help attract big brands and encourage new ideas.
3. It will work together with other groups to create special programs.
4. It will involve designers, artists, and manufacturers in the work.
5. It will get help from local authorities when needed.
6. It will organize and take part in events like workshops and exhibitions.
7. It will make agreements and partnerships with other organizations, with approval.
8. It will form teams to help with its goals.
9. It will do other things as directed by the leader of the SCQ.
The SCQ will be led by a Head, who will be chosen by the ruler. The daily work will be managed by a Director, chosen by the Head. The Director will have a team to help, and the Head will explain what the Director needs to do.
The decree also talks about money, fees, decisions, and how the SCQ will carry out its plans.
