Saudi Arabia Triumphs in Securing IMO Council Membership for 2026–2027

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has successfully achieved a seat on the International Maritime Organization (IMO) Council for the upcoming 2026–2027 term. This significant election took place in London, where Saudi Arabia garnered 142 votes from various member states, underscoring its pivotal role in the evolution of the global maritime landscape. Saleh Al-Jasser, Minister of Transport and Logistic Services and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Transport General Authority (TGA), extended heartfelt gratitude to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and HRH the Crown Prince for their unwavering support for the Kingdom’s transport sector.
