Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s upcoming film Spirit, starring Prabhas, has been one of the most anticipated projects in Indian cinema this year. The director recently confirmed that the shooting of the film will commence at the end of November 2025. The announcement was made during the pre-release event of the Telugu film Jigris, further heightening excitement among fans and the film industry alike.

There had been widespread speculation that South megastar Chiranjeevi would play the onscreen father of Prabhas in Spirit. However, Sandeep Reddy Vanga clarified that Chiranjeevi will not be a part of the film, putting all rumors to rest.

Prabhas will be seen in the role of a former IPS officer. The actor has reportedly undergone a significant transformation for the part, losing a few kilos to fit the character. He is also set to have a look test for his role, ensuring that his on-screen appearance perfectly aligns with the director’s vision.

The story revolves around Prabhas’ character, who ends up in prison under the supervision of a strict warden played by Prakash Raj. The teaser suggests that the film will feature intense confrontations and a gripping narrative centered on justice, discipline, and personal redemption.

In a unique promotional approach, Sandeep Reddy Vanga released a “sound-story” teaser on Prabhas’ birthday earlier this year. Unlike a traditional teaser, the video relies entirely on voiceovers and sound design, available in five Indian languages. The teaser immediately connects with viewers through its immersive audio, backed by a stirring background score by Harshavardhan Rameshwar.

The teaser highlights key moments of the film, showing Prabhas’ character as a disciplined IPS officer who faces unexpected challenges. One of the standout moments in the teaser is when Prabhas delivers a striking line: “I have had just one bad habit since childhood.” This moment captures the intensity and signature fan service that Sandeep Reddy Vanga is known for.

The film’s lead actress is Triptii Dimri, marking a fresh pairing with Prabhas. The supporting cast features veteran actors including Prakash Raj, Vivek Oberoi, and Kanchana in pivotal roles, promising strong performances across the board.

Spirit marks the first collaboration between Prabhas and Sandeep Reddy Vanga. Given the director’s track record of blockbuster hits and Prabhas’ pan-Indian popularity, expectations are high. The film promises a blend of high-octane action, emotional depth, and fan-centric moments, making it one of the most eagerly awaited releases in the coming year.

With filming set to begin soon, fans are keeping a close watch on updates regarding Prabhas’ look, the release timeline, and the plot details. Spirit is shaping up to be a cinematic experience packed with drama, action, and unforgettable performances.
