Singer Palak Muchhal, renowned for her soulful hits, has earned a place in the Guinness Book of World Records, not for music but for her extraordinary humanitarian efforts. Through her Palak Palash Charitable Foundation, she has helped fund 3,947 heart surgeries for underprivileged children across India.
Speaking about the honor, Palak said, “I have received a 'hall of fame' by the Guinness Book of World Records for my charity work. It's a global achievement and I'm truly grateful. I have been singing for heart patients since I was seven years old. I run 'Save Little Hearts' concerts, where the remuneration from every performance goes toward surgeries for children suffering from heart diseases. So far, 3,947 kids have been operated on, and there are 416 children on my waiting list. I hope to continue singing for these kids who need me.”
When asked about celebrating the achievement, she shared, “Celebration is part of daily life. Records reassure you that you are walking the right path. I attend surgeries when a kid is sponsored through my concerts. I try to be in the hospital, sometimes even in the operation theatre. I recite the Gita, Navkar mantra, and shlokas. When the doctor says, 'Badhai ho Palak, tumhara bachcha bach gaya,' that's when I truly celebrate.”
Adding to her happiness, reports suggest Palak will soon have another reason to celebrate. Her brother and musician Palash Muchhal is set to marry Indian women’s cricket team vice-captain Smriti Mandhana on November 20, 2025, in Sangli. On this, Palak said, “It's too soon to say anything, but all of us are very happy.”
