Drydocks World has officially started building its new head office in Dubai, a move set to transform its operations and strengthen the city’s maritime sector. Scheduled for completion in early 2027, the facility will consolidate nearly 700 employees under one roof, aiming to enhance collaboration, communication, and efficiency across the company.
Spanning 44,779 square metres on a 13,390-square-metre plot near the existing shipyard, the modern office is strategically positioned for accessibility while remaining outside busy fabrication zones. Direct access from Jumeirah Beach Road ensures ease of entry for visitors and clients without compromising safety or operational security.
The headquarters is designed with sustainability at its core, targeting LEED Gold certification. It will integrate energy-efficient systems, smart ventilation, advanced safety infrastructure, and 50 electric vehicle charging stations among approximately 500 parking slots. Open-plan workspaces, multi-purpose halls, dining areas, fitness facilities, and prayer rooms are planned to foster a balanced, collaborative work environment.
The new building complements DP World’s own global headquarters under construction at Expo City Dubai. Together, these developments highlight a wider commitment to creating next-generation, sustainable workplaces across the Group.
Drydocks World’s expansion reflects its four-decade-long contribution to Dubai’s maritime growth, supporting complex ship repair, conversion, and offshore projects. The new headquarters represents both a continuation of this legacy and a forward-looking approach to operational efficiency, innovation, and sustainable development within the UAE.
