Mohammed bin Rashid Meets with Arab finance ministers attending the Arab Fiscal Forum in Dubai

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, received a delegation of several Arab finance ministers in attendance at the 9th Arab Fiscal Forum. The 9th Arab Fiscal Forum is taking place in the context of the World Governments Summit 2025 in Dubai.

The meeting was held with His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister, and UAE Minister of Defense in attendance.

Sheikh Mohammed was the host for the Arab delegations that include ministers and influential economic and financial leaders. In his speech, he underlined the importance of cooperation and exchange of information among the Arab governments. He claimed that it would be through sustainable development that some countries of this world will obtain the necessary and desired strong cooperation.

Among them was UAE Minister of State for Financial Affairs His Excellency Mohamed bin Hadi Al Hussaini during the meeting. The Arab finance ministers expressed their desire to strengthen ties with the UAE. They appreciated the successful economic model of the UAE and said that participation in the World Governments Summit would help them learn about global trends and best practices. They believe this will help them tackle economic challenges and keep pace with rapid changes globally.

The 9th Arab Fiscal Forum is being organized by the Arab Monetary Fund (AMF), the International Monetary Fund (IMF), and the UAE Ministry of Finance. It has emphasized enhancing financial policies in terms of facing the challenges related to debt risks and tighter financial conditions. Among some of the crucial issues covered include reforms in government subsidies, tax systems, and public sector enterprises.

The World Governments Summit 2025 is a meeting of more than 30 heads of state and government, over 80 international and regional organizations, and 140 delegations of the governments. In total, the event comprises 21 global forums that discuss major future trends. More than 200 interactive sessions with over 300 notable speakers - presidents, ministers, experts, and decision-makers - are also scheduled for the event. Over 30 ministerial meetings and roundtables will take place during the Summit, with 400 ministers in attendance. In addition, 30 strategic reports will be published in cooperation with international experts and research institutions.

The World Governments Summit is still one of the key global platforms where leaders share ideas and find solutions to global challenges to plan for a better future.
