Millie Bobby Brown Reflects on Ending Stranger Things Journey

As the fifth and final season of Stranger Things approaches its release this month, Millie Bobby Brown reflects on the emotional end of a journey that began when she was just 12 years old. The actor, who became a global sensation as the fierce yet lovable Eleven, says closing this chapter has been both surreal and deeply emotional.“It was so emotional and so surreal,” Millie shares. “But it made me feel very grateful and honoured to have been a part of such an amazing show for so many years and to have played such a wonderful character. I feel very blessed.”

Over the years, Millie has grown up in the public eye, and she admits that dealing with fame at a young age wasn’t always easy. “There is a pressure to get it all right,” she confides. “If you looked closely into anyone’s life, you could pick everyone apart. So, it was definitely challenging.”

Thankfully, Millie had her co-stars — Finn Wolfhard, Noah Schnapp, Gaten Matarazzo, and Caleb McLaughlin — by her side throughout the journey. “Absolutely, we were in it together,” she says. “I'm very lucky to have had that support.”

Among all the memories she’s made on Stranger Things, Millie says her friendship with Noah Schnapp stands out the most. “I'm the third Schnapp for sure,” she laughs. “I truly don’t know what I would be doing without Noah in my life. He is my best friend, and that’s all I’ve ever known. Every friendship I walk into, I compare it to my friendship with Noah because it’s so unique. We’re very much like siblings.”

Millie’s voice softens as she talks about their bond: “We love each other so immensely and unconditionally. No matter what we go through, we’re in it together till the end. There aren’t many friendships like that in the world, so when you find one, hold onto it for dear life.”

She concludes by saying that Noah is the one person whose advice she values most — and the feeling is mutual. “We look out for each other. It’s so pure because we knew each other before all the fame. I just want the best for him, and he wants the same for me. In this industry, you often question people’s intentions, but with him, I never have to. His motives are always pure and loving.”
