Beijing: China has successfully launched a new group of low-orbit internet satellites, further strengthening its expanding space-based communication infrastructure.
The satellites were sent into space on Thursday from the Taiyuan Satellite Launch Center, located in north China's Shanxi Province.
According to official sources, the launch took place at 3:38 a.m. Beijing time aboard a modified Long March-6 carrier rocket. The satellite group has successfully entered its designated orbit, marking another milestone in China’s ambitious space program.
This mission represents the 21st batch of low-Earth orbit internet satellites, which are part of China's broader effort to build a robust satellite-based internet network aimed at improving global connectivity and communication services.
Notably, the launch also marked the 637th flight mission of the Long March rocket series, highlighting the reliability and consistency of China’s launch capabilities.
The successful deployment underscores China’s continued advancements in aerospace technology and its growing presence in the global space industry.
