The Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry convened the Multaqa Al Tujjar: Private Sector Leaders & Decision Makers Forum at the Abu Dhabi Energy Centre, bringing together senior government officials and prominent private sector leaders to reinforce economic coordination and address evolving market challenges.
The forum builds on a series of recent high-level engagements between public and private sector stakeholders, focusing on maintaining market stability and tackling global supply chain disruptions. It underscores Abu Dhabi’s strategic commitment to institutional alignment, efficient execution, and proactive policy implementation.
Designed as a structured platform, the event enabled direct engagement between decision-makers and the business community. Discussions centered on practical solutions to ensure business continuity, strengthen supply chain resilience, and enhance the emirate’s capacity to adapt to shifting global economic conditions.
Participants highlighted ongoing initiatives aimed at improving the business environment through targeted programmes and regulatory reforms. These efforts align with the UAE’s broader economic diversification strategy, as non-oil sectors continue to drive sustainable national growth.
Ahmed Jasim Al Zaabi, Chairman of the Chamber, emphasized that Abu Dhabi’s economic model is built to perform amid change, supported by regulatory clarity and strong public-private collaboration. He noted that insights from the roundtable sessions would help align policy decisions with real-time market needs, ensuring uninterrupted trade flows and reinforcing business confidence.
The forum saw participation from key entities including the Abu Dhabi Department of Economic Development, Abu Dhabi Ports Group, Abu Dhabi Customs, Abu Dhabi Investment Office, Integrated Transport Centre, 7X, Etihad Credit Insurance, Dell Technologies, and Presight AI.
A key highlight of the event was the introduction of the ADEED platform, an advanced digital system designed to provide real-time supply chain data. The platform aims to support proactive decision-making and further strengthen Abu Dhabi’s position as a global logistics hub.
The forum began with two closed-door roundtable sessions focused on the tourism and industrial sectors. These sessions explored sector-specific challenges and opportunities, with an emphasis on improving supply chain efficiency, enhancing competitiveness, and supporting long-term economic growth.
During the first panel, titled “Delivering for Business: Live Policy & Initiative Announcements,” officials outlined measures to ensure business continuity. These included activating contingency plans, improving logistics efficiency, expanding port capacity, and accelerating cargo handling processes to maintain smooth trade flows.
Additional initiatives discussed included simplifying customs procedures, introducing fast-track clearance systems, and expanding digital access to government services, all aimed at strengthening partnerships with the private sector.
The second panel, “Open for Growth: Abu Dhabi's Trade, Logistics & Industrial Opportunity,” highlighted the emirate’s competitive advantages as a regional trade hub. Industry leaders emphasized the role of advanced infrastructure, regulatory flexibility, and integrated logistics networks in attracting investment and supporting cross-sector growth.
The final panel, “Powering the Future: AI, Technology & Government Innovation,” focused on the transformative impact of artificial intelligence and advanced technologies in shaping the business landscape. Experts discussed how digital innovation is enhancing operational efficiency, improving real-time monitoring, and enabling smarter decision-making.
Overall, the forum reinforced Abu Dhabi’s commitment to fostering a resilient, technology-driven, and globally competitive business environment through strong collaboration between government and industry stakeholders.
