Some of them included Mohamed Khalifa Al Mubarak, Chairman of the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi, Dr. Ali bin Tamim, Chairman of the ALC, and Abdullah Majid Al Ali, Director of the National Archives and National Library.
Mohamed Khalifa Al Mubarak talked about how the Kanz Al Jeel Award shows Abu Dhabi’s support for arts and culture. He said the award helps young people learn about and keep their traditions alive.
Dr. Ali bin Tamim praised the winners and said their work helped carry on the values of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, the founder of the UAE. He also mentioned how important it is to keep Nabati's poetry alive and teach it to future generations.
Sheikh Khalifa bin Tahnoon gave the Arts Award to Mahsa Davachi, an artist from Iran, for her painting called “UAE.” The painting showed great skill and creativity.
Faisal Al Oteibi, a poet from Saudi Arabia, won the Poetry Matching prize for his poem “Al Sheikh Nad.” His poem encouraged young people to be proud of their culture, stay true to their traditions, and gain knowledge to help their country.
Ateeq Khalfan Alkaabi, an Emirati poet, won the Poetic Publications award for his collection called “Signatures.” His poems are fresh and modern but still follow old traditions.

The Kanz Al Jeel Award is part of the Abu Dhabi Arabic Language Centre’s mission to protect and celebrate the Arabic language and Nabati poetry. Nabati poetry is very important in the UAE and its history.
This year, the award had 600 entries from 24 countries, including 19 Arab countries. This shows how the award is growing and inspiring more people to learn about and appreciate their culture.
