At the Cannes Film Festival 2025, Karan Johar caught everyone’s attention—not just because he was there, but because of his stunning outfit made by designer Rohit Bal. Karan is not only famous for making hit movies, but also for his bold and stylish fashion choices. He looked super cool and classy at the premiere of Homebound, a film he produced and which was directed by Neeraj Ghaywan.
For this special event, Karan wore a custom-made black outfit designed just for him by Rohit Bal. It was a three-piece suit made from soft silk velvet. The jacket was the highlight of the outfit. It had bright pink rose designs on the front and sleeves, which made the whole look stand out and feel both stylish and colorful.

What made this outfit extra special was the detailed embroidery on the roses. These rose designs were made using a traditional Indian method called zardozi. This involves hand-stitching using shiny threads and sequins. Just the embroidery part took 410 hours to finish! That shows how much time and skill went into making the outfit.
The jacket also had a wide collar and was long enough to reach Karan’s knees, which gave him a royal and graceful look. He matched the outfit with a shiny necklace made of red and white stones and wore a big ring with a black stone in the middle, surrounded by sparkly gems.
To finish his look, he wore black velvet shoes with a small heel. These shoes added height and gave him a confident, polished appearance.
In the end, Karan Johar didn’t just wear stylish clothes—he wore a piece of art. His outfit at Cannes was a perfect mix of traditional Indian work, modern design, and hard work. It was truly a special fashion moment that people will remember.
