Despite encountering challenges in the initial rounds, both Indian teams displayed resilience and determination. The women's team had faced a setback in the first round, finishing fifth in their qualifying heat. On the other hand, the men's team experienced difficulties when Rajesh Ramesh had to withdraw midway due to cramps in the first-round qualifying heat. However, they overcame these obstacles and delivered commendable performances in the subsequent rounds, ultimately booking their spots for the Paris Olympics.
India's successful outing at the World Athletics Relays expanded the country's contingent for track and field events at the Paris Olympics, with the addition of 19 athletes.
