Fujairah Crown Prince Joins the Launch of the 3rd Al Bader Festival

FUJAIRAH, 13th September 2024 (WAM) — His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, the Crown Prince of Fujairah, highlighted the profound significance of the Prophet's birthday during his attendance at the third edition of the Al Bader Festival and the Prophet's birthday celebration. The event was held at the Fujairah Creative Centre.

In his address, Sheikh Mohammed emphasized the importance of celebrating the Prophet's birthday as a means of preserving cultural and religious heritage within the community. He also acknowledged the continuous support and directives of His Highness Sheikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, the Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Fujairah, in promoting cultural initiatives across the emirate. These initiatives are instrumental in fostering cultural and social connections while upholding the UAE's rich religious and social heritage.

During the festival, Sheikh Mohammed toured various artistic exhibitions featuring prominent Arabic calligraphers from around the globe. The exhibitions included a range of Islamic art forms, from intricate patchwork art to the winning entries of the prestigious Al Bader Prize.

The event also featured a speech by Dr. Hamad Abdulrahman Al-Buqaishi, Secretary General of the Al-Badr Initiative. Dr. Al-Buqaishi underscored the festival's ongoing commitment to showcasing Islamic arts and celebrating the life and values of the Prophet Muhammad. He highlighted the festival's role in nurturing artistic talent and conveying the Prophet's legacy to future generations and global audiences.

The festival's launch included performances by the "Fujairah Band for Birth" and the Mubarak Al Otaiba Band, who delivered a traditional Al-Malad performance, along with a poetry segment where Fujairah school students recited praise poems dedicated to the Prophet.

Attendees at the festival included His Excellency Dr. Ahmed Hamdan Al Zeyoudi, Director of the Office of His Highness the Crown Prince of Fujairah, along with a distinguished gathering of managers, officials, and a diverse audience from both within and outside the emirate. The festival's comprehensive program celebrated not only the Prophet's birthday but also the cultural vibrancy and artistic excellence of the UAE.
