Srinagar: The first flight finally landed at Srinagar International Airport after travel was disrupted due to heavy snowfall and bad weather overnight. The snowfall had affected both arrivals and departures early this morning, causing delays for passengers.
An official from the Airport Authority of India confirmed that a flight from New Delhi reached Srinagar at 11:12 AM, marking the official resumption of flight operations. Travelers who had been waiting for updates were relieved as flights slowly started returning to schedule.

However, road travel remains a challenge. The Srinagar-Jammu National Highway, which serves as the only road link between the Kashmir Valley and the rest of the country, remains closed due to heavy snow accumulation. The worst-affected areas are between Ramsu and Qazigund, where snow has completely blocked the road.
In addition to snow, officials reported shooting stones, landslides, and mudslides in several areas, especially between Nashri and the Navyug Tunnel. These natural disruptions have made the highway unsafe for travel.
Authorities have strongly advised commuters to avoid traveling on this route until further notice. Travelers have been asked to check with the traffic control rooms before planning their journey to get the latest updates on road conditions.
The weather remains unpredictable, and officials are working to clear the roads as soon as possible to restore connectivity.
