By the end of Ramadan, the campaign had raised AED 3,720,063,487 with support from over 277,000 contributors.
A Message of Gratitude and Hope
Sheikh Mohammed praised the UAE community for coming together during Ramadan, which he called the Year of Community. He said the campaign showed how united and generous the UAE people are. He thanked the individuals, businesses, and institutions that contributed. Their efforts reflect the UAE's strong values of giving, kindness, and hope.
He added, “As Ramadan ends, we celebrate the overwhelming support of our people. Fathers are the pillars of families and society, and this campaign is a tribute to their strength and sacrifices. May God protect all fathers.”
Sheikh Mohammed also said that this campaign strengthens the UAE's mission of facing humanitarian challenges with unity and sustainability. He highlighted that such initiatives show the UAE’s commitment to making a lasting impact through charity and development programs.
Massive Community Participation
The Fathers’ Endowment campaign received widespread community support. People generously donated to honour their fathers and help underprivileged communities receive better healthcare.
Donations came through various channels, including the campaign’s website, SMS services (for du and e& UAE users), bank transfers, the campaign’s call center, the Dubai Now app, and the Jood.ae community platform.
A New Vision for Charity
His Excellency Mohammad Al Gergawi, Minister of Cabinet Affairs and Secretary General of the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives (MBRGI), praised Sheikh Mohammed’s new vision for charitable work.
He explained that this campaign is part of a bigger effort to make humanitarian work sustainable. Instead of one-time donations, the focus is on creating long-term solutions that directly improve people’s lives.
Al Gergawi said that the campaign’s success shows the deep-rooted generosity of the UAE people. He added that healthcare is a top priority for MBRGI. Their goal is to raise healthcare standards and provide better medical services to those in need.
Generous Contributions from Major Donors
The Fathers’ Endowment campaign received large donations from major contributors.
Azizi Developments made the biggest private sector donation in UAE history, contributing AED 3 billion. Their donation will be used to build a humanitarian medical complex in Dubai. This facility will include a hospital, research center, and medical training institute, helping to improve healthcare services.
Sunny Varkey, an education entrepreneur and philanthropist, and his family donated AED 100 million.
Several real estate developers also supported the campaign by building endowment properties. These buildings will generate funds to support healthcare programs. The donors include:
Imtiaz Developments: AED 50 million
Peace Homes Development: AED 50 million
SAMANA Developers: AED 40 million
Buimerc Corporation Ltd.: AED 20 million
The money from these endowments will be used to build hospitals, provide medical equipment and medications, expand healthcare capacity, and upgrade operating rooms.
Charity Auctions Drive Huge Donations
The campaign also held Most Noble Number auctions in Abu Dhabi and Dubai, raising AED 167,461,000.
In Dubai, the auction raised:
AED 75.9 million from RTA vehicle plate numbers
AED 4.732 million from e& UAE mobile numbers
AED 3.045 million from du mobile numbers
The Abu Dhabi charity auction, run by the Integrated Transport Centre, raised another AED 83.7 million from 444 special plate numbers.
Reviving the Culture of Endowments
The Fathers’ Endowment campaign aims to revive the culture of endowments as a way to support social development. It also promotes values of kindness, compassion, and unity while strengthening the UAE's leading role in global humanitarian efforts.
Building on Previous Ramadan Campaigns
The campaign follows the success of previous Ramadan charity initiatives led by Sheikh Mohammed:
In 2020, the 10 Million Meals campaign provided over 15.3 million meals.
In 2021, the 100 Million Meals campaign exceeded its goal, delivering 220 million meals across 30 countries.
In 2022, the 1 Billion Meals campaign reached its target in less than a month, offering food support in 50 countries.
In 2023, the 1 Billion Meals Endowment campaign raised AED 1.075 billion by the end of Ramadan.
In 2024, the Mothers’ Endowment campaign honoured mothers by creating a AED 1 billion endowment fund to support education globally. It exceeded its target, raising over AED 1.4 billion.
A Powerful Humanitarian Initiative
The Fathers’ Endowment campaign shows the UAE's commitment to generosity and humanitarian support. It reflects the nation’s values of kindness, compassion, and solidarity, making a meaningful difference in the lives of many.
