A tragic road accident occurred in Taungoo, resulting in the death of a young man after a collision involving a truck and a motorcycle. The incident unfolded on the evening of April 3 in Ward No. 23 of Taungoo Township.
Police officials report that the six-wheeled Mitsubishi Canter truck was making a turn onto a road near a local school when it struck a motorcycle travelling in the opposite direction. The rider, identified as Min Min Htun, 23, suffered grave injuries from the impact.
Despite immediate medical intervention, he succumbed to his injuries shortly thereafter. Authorities have confirmed that the truck driver is currently in custody as the investigation progresses.
A case has been filed under Section 304-A of the Penal Code, setting the stage for further legal actions. Officials are emphasizing the importance of adhering to road safety rules to avert such tragic occurrences.
