Cameron and Cayden Boozer enjoyed a memorable Thanksgiving, taking to the court while their father, Carlos Boozer, proudly watched from the stands. The game took place at the United Center, a venue filled with nostalgia for Carlos from his days with the Chicago Bulls.

The duo joined Duke’s impressive recruiting class, under the guidance of coach Jon Scheyer. While Cayden still finds his footing, Cameron has emerged as a vital player. Against the 22nd-ranked Arkansas, Cameron delivered an outstanding performance with 35 points and nine rebounds, leading Duke to an 80-71 win.

Cameron’s effectiveness was remarkable, completing 13 of 18 attempts and 7 of 11 free throws. His pivotal three-pointer helped Duke establish a 10-0 run, placing them ahead 32-22 at halftime, much to the delight of his cheering father.

When Arkansas gained a slight advantage in the second half, Cameron answered back with a crucial three-point play and nailed important free throws to extend Duke’s lead to 77-69 with just over a minute left. Coach Jon Scheyer lauded Cameron’s leadership, noting that he really “took charge” during crucial moments.

Consistently strong this season, Cameron averages 22.9 points and 9.8 rebounds per game while leading the team with 31 assists and maintaining only 10 turnovers. Meanwhile, his brother Cayden played briefly, contributing through assists despite not scoring against Arkansas.

This Thanksgiving matchup held profound meaning for the Boozer family, reflecting on their collective experiences. Cameron highlighted his father's advice to savor every moment during this fleeting time in college basketball.

Fans witnessed Cameron's exceptional skill and composure under pressure, showcasing his potential future stardom in college basketball. The Blue Devils, standing at an impressive 8-0 this season, are making waves under Coach Scheyer, with Cameron leading various aspects of play.

Carlos Boozer, who himself played for Duke, expressed immense pride in his sons, underscoring the importance of savoring both sport and family moments. The intersection of basketball, family, and Thanksgiving created a uniquely special day for the Boozer family, as they celebrated their accomplishments together.

With Cameron’s eye-catching performance and Duke’s perfect record, the Blue Devils are solidifying their position as a formidable contender this season. Both brothers embrace their college basketball journey while cherishing these valuable shared experiences.
