Dubai: Sheikha Latifa bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairperson of Dubai Culture and Arts Authority, held a high-level meeting with key leaders from the cultural and creative sectors to reinforce resilience and future readiness across the industry.

The session, titled ‘Creative Sector Resilience’, was organised in collaboration with the Dubai Future Foundation and took place at the Etihad Museum. It brought together a wide range of stakeholders, including representatives from cultural and heritage institutions, creative organisations, event leaders, and supporting service providers.

During the workshop, Sheikha Latifa highlighted the importance of collaboration and adaptability in sustaining growth. She emphasised that Dubai’s creative sector has consistently shown strength through innovation, partnership, and a forward-looking mindset, even during uncertain times.

She noted that the emirate’s leadership continues to prioritise people, stability, and progress, while ensuring the protection of existing achievements and investing in future opportunities. She stressed that coordinated efforts and confidence will help maintain a dynamic and evolving creative ecosystem.

The meeting is part of ongoing initiatives by Dubai Culture to ensure sector continuity and preparedness. It focused on addressing current challenges, identifying shared priorities, and exploring opportunities through structured dialogue and collaboration.

Focus on Innovation and Preparedness

Hala Badri, Director General of Dubai Culture, stated that adaptability is central to Dubai’s cultural strategy. She underlined the importance of building innovative frameworks and actionable solutions to strengthen sector readiness and performance.

She added that the workshop aims to transform discussions into practical steps that support long-term growth while empowering creative talent through meaningful platforms.

Meanwhile, Khalfan Belhoul highlighted the crucial role of leadership support in inspiring creators and innovators. He noted that collaboration between stakeholders is essential to prepare for future transformations, especially as technology continues to reshape industries and create new opportunities.

Collaborative Approach for Future Growth

The session brought together diverse voices from across Dubai’s creative ecosystem, encouraging open dialogue and exchange of ideas. Participants worked on identifying short-term action plans and long-term strategies to strengthen resilience and ensure sustainable growth.

The outcomes of the workshop will contribute to a comprehensive sector readiness report and a coordinated action plan. This initiative aims to support immediate continuity while also shaping the long-term vision for Dubai’s cultural and creative industries.
