What Are These New Facilities?
The new facilities cover a massive built-up area of around 215,278 square feet. They are called multiuser facilities because different businesses can use them at the same time. The units inside these facilities can be combined to create bigger spaces if needed. This means that whether a company is small or large, it can find a suitable space in this development.
These units are specially built to be flexible so that companies can design the interior based on their own needs. They are also air-conditioned to keep the space cool and comfortable for storing products and for people working inside.
Where Are They Located?
These facilities are located within the freight forwarding zone of the Logistics District. This area is very strategic for logistics and trading companies because it is close to two very important transport hubs in the UAE:
Al Maktoum International Airport
Jebel Ali Port
Because of this prime location, businesses working in these facilities can easily connect their goods and services to the rest of the UAE and also to international markets. There is also direct access to the UAE’s key road network, making it even easier for transport trucks to move goods quickly and efficiently.
When Will They Be Ready?
According to Dubai South, these facilities will be completed and ready for tenants by the first quarter (Q1) of 2026. This means that by early 2026, businesses can start their operations and benefit from the new infrastructure.
What Facilities Will Businesses Get?
The new multiuser facilities come with many benefits for companies:
Flexible air-conditioned spaces: The units have proper cooling systems to keep products safe and employees comfortable.
Ground-level access: This makes it easy to load and unload goods without the need for complex equipment.
Combinable units: Businesses can join two or more units to make a larger workspace if needed.
Easy customization: Companies can design the interior layout to suit their work style and operations.
Retail outlets and amenities nearby: This makes it convenient for employees to buy food, drinks, or other items without leaving the area.
Who Can Use These Facilities?
These facilities are designed for a wide range of clients, including:
Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs)
Logistics providers
E-commerce companies
Trading companies
Businesses dealing with international trade
Basically, any company that needs a secure, modern, and well-located place for their goods and services can benefit from these facilities.
Different Sizes Available
Dubai South is offering two different size options for the units:
2,152 square feet
3,767 square feet
Businesses can choose which size suits them better. If they need more space, they can combine units to create a larger working area. This gives businesses the flexibility to scale up easily as they grow in the future.
Built with Sustainability in Mind
Dubai South is also focusing on sustainability while building these facilities. This means that the construction and design are done in a way that protects the environment and saves energy. The buildings are made so that companies can fit them out according to their needs without harming the surroundings.
Why Is This Important for Businesses?
These facilities are important because they give businesses a modern and strategic place to operate. Companies working in logistics, trade, or e-commerce need to move products quickly and safely. Having a facility close to the airport and port reduces the time taken to send and receive goods. It also lowers the cost of transportation, which is good for business profits.
What Did Dubai South’s CEO Say?
Mohsen Ahmad, the CEO of the Logistics District at Dubai South, shared his views on this new launch. He said: “At Dubai South, we are committed to empowering businesses with innovative, flexible, and sustainable solutions that drive growth and operational efficiency. The launch of our new multiuser facilities underscores our commitment to supporting SMEs by providing strategically located, state-of-the-art infrastructure that meets the evolving demands of the regional and global markets. We continuously strive to create an ecosystem that fosters SME growth by offering tailored solutions, strategic connectivity, and a business-friendly environment.”
In simple words, he means that Dubai South wants to help businesses by giving them modern and flexible places to work. They want companies to grow and do well not just in the UAE but also in international markets.
