These new parking fees will be used in all parking areas (A, B, C, and D), but parking will still be free on public holidays. Busy hours will be from 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM and 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM. During these hours, Premium parking will cost AED 6 per hour.
Parkin, the company that manages parking in Dubai, said that Premium parking spaces will be in popular places like Downtown Dubai, Business Bay, Deira, and Jumeirah. These places have a lot of people because they are near shopping malls, business areas, and transport stations.
Before, Parkin said that after talking with the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA), it will increase Premium parking spaces from 35% to 40%. The other 60% of spaces will be Standard parking.
For people who park during less busy hours (10:00 AM to 4:00 PM and 8:00 PM to 10:00 PM), the price will stay the same as before.
These changes will help control traffic and make public transport more useful in Dubai’s crowded areas.
