The MoU outlines plans to facilitate greater exchange between the two organizations, including regular trade missions and delegations, to foster direct connections between Dubai-based businesses and their counterparts in Thailand. Both chambers have committed to sharing best practices, industry knowledge, and insights to strengthen collaboration in key growth areas. Additionally, the agreement covers joint efforts in organizing exhibitions, business events, and conferences in both Dubai and Thailand, which will provide platforms for businesses from each country to showcase their capabilities and build new networks.
Moreover, the MoU places a strong emphasis on arbitration and dispute resolution, with both chambers agreeing to work together to provide efficient solutions for commercial disputes that might arise between companies in their respective markets. This provision highlights both chambers’ dedication to creating a stable and supportive environment for bilateral business.
The MoU was signed by H.E. Mohammad Ali Rashed Lootah, President and CEO of Dubai Chambers, and Dr. Visit Limlurcha, Vice Chairman of the Thai Chamber of Commerce. Commenting on the partnership, H.E. Mohammad Ali Rashed Lootah stated, “This agreement reflects our commitment to enhancing Dubai’s global trade and investment connections. By strengthening ties with Thailand, we are supporting Dubai’s vision to position itself as a global leader in business and economic development, and this MoU aligns closely with our strategy of opening up new growth opportunities in promising international markets.”
This collaboration aligns with the ambitious goals set by the Dubai Economic Agenda (D33), which seeks to double the emirate’s economy over the next decade and position Dubai among the world’s top three cities for business. Dubai Chambers is focused on advancing these goals through several strategic initiatives, including enhancing the city’s business-friendly environment, attracting international businesses, accelerating the digital economy, and expanding its members’ international footprint.
With a focus on institutional excellence and customer service, Dubai Chambers continues to prioritize advocacy for the private sector and to support its members in reaching global markets. This new partnership with Thailand’s business community marks an important step in that journey, underscoring Dubai’s commitment to strengthening its position as a gateway for global trade and investment.
