Aditya Dhar’s action-packed spy thriller Dhurandhar continues to impress at the box office, even recording its lowest earnings on Day 15. The film, however, remains a formidable force, showcasing its grounding at the theaters.
On its 15th day, Dhurandhar collected ₹22.50 crore net domestically, with a worldwide gross of nearly ₹35 crore. Such strong numbers indicate ongoing audience enthusiasm as the movie approaches its third weekend.
With ₹483 crore net accrued in India over the first two weeks, translating into approximately ₹579.50 crore gross, anticipation builds for the film to cross the ₹500 crore net mark this weekend — a feat achieved by few Hindi films.
Insiders observe that the film’s stable performance during weekdays highlights positive word-of-mouth, attracting repeat viewers from both multiplexes and mass release locales.
Internationally, Dhurandhar also stays resilient, even with new competition from blockbuster Avatar: Fire and Ash. Its overseas earnings have surpassed $18 million, significantly aiding its overall income.
Now, Dhurandhar's global box office total stands at around ₹745 crore, nearing the ₹800 crore target. A robust weekend could see the film achieving this goal as it heads into its 16th day.
With these figures, Dhurandhar has etched its name among the top 10 highest-grossing Hindi films, on track to outpace massive hits like PK, Chhaava, and Stree 2 if the current trend holds.
Given its consistent success, it is also being regarded as a strong contender for joining the exclusive ₹1000 crore global club, potentially becoming one of the largest successes in Indian cinema.
Directed by Aditya Dhar, Dhurandhar revolves around Ranveer Singh as Hamza, an undercover agent navigating a perilous spy mission. The cast, including Akshaye Khanna, Arjun Rampal, Sanjay Dutt, and R. Madhavan, has been praised for their compelling performances.
