Dubai, UAE – 23 April 2025 – In a historic moment for spiritual and community development, Danube Group has proudly inaugurated the first-ever mosque at National Industries Park (NIP), marking a new chapter in the company’s enduring commitment to social responsibility and religious inclusivity.
This newly established mosque, built over an impressive 7,000 square meters, stands as a spiritual sanctuary for more than 2,000 worshippers, featuring both indoor and outdoor prayer areas. To ensure ease of access, the site includes dedicated parking space for over 50 vehicles, offering a convenient and welcoming environment for the entire NIP community.
The grand inauguration was graced by esteemed dignitaries, including H.E. Eng. Marwan bin Ghalita, Director General of the Dubai Land Department; H.E. Mr. Ahmed Darwish Al Muhairi, General Manager of Islamic Affairs & Charitable Activities; Mr. Abdullah Al Hashmi, COO of Parks & Zones at DP World GCC; Mr. Abdulla Belhoul, CEO of TECOM Group; and members of Danube leadership including Rizwan Sajan, Founder and Chairman, and Adel Sajan, Group Managing Director. Distinguished community leaders, senior officials, and family members were also in attendance, making it a heartfelt occasion of unity and spiritual reflection.
This mosque is the first in a series of mosques to be developed under Danube Group’s AED 50 million pledge, made in the presence of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of the Executive Council. This ambitious initiative aims to enhance religious infrastructure and promote community welfare throughout the UAE.
Rizwan Sajan, commenting on the occasion, stated:
"The opening of this mosque at National Industries Park holds deep meaning for us. It symbolizes more than a place of worship—it represents a shared space of faith, community, and compassion. We are committed to building spaces that unite people through peace, purpose, and prayer."
This milestone follows the success of the Majestic Mosque at Dubai Studio City, another notable project by Danube Group, completed at a cost of AED 15.56 million. The Majestic Mosque continues to play a central role in supporting both spiritual and social needs of the area it serves.
Beyond spiritual projects, Danube Group remains a leading force in corporate social responsibility. In 2023 alone, the company contributed AED 10 million to the Mothers’ Endowment Campaign and supported the 1 Billion Meals Endowment, a humanitarian initiative by the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives (MBRGI).
Founded in 1993 by visionary entrepreneur Rizwan Sajan, Danube Group has grown into one of the Middle East’s most respected conglomerates. Headquartered in Dubai, the company operates across diverse sectors including building materials, home furnishings, real estate, and hospitality. With a workforce of over 4,500 employees and an annual turnover of USD 2 billion (2022), its subsidiaries include Danube Properties, Danube Home, Danube Building Materials, and Alucopanel Middle East, among others.
As Danube Group continues to invest in spiritual, social, and civic well-being, the mosque at National Industries Park stands as a glowing testament to its mission: building not just structures, but communities grounded in unity, purpose, and faith.
