The Dubai T100 Festival concluded today with a spectacular finish as hundreds of amateur triathletes crossed the famous Meydan Racecourse finish line. The four-day event brought together athletes of all ages, abilities, and backgrounds, creating an exciting and inspiring atmosphere for both participants and spectators. With perfect weather and a lively crowd, the closing day became a celebration of endurance, courage, and community spirit.
More than 8,000 amateur participants took part in a wide variety of challenges. These included youth aquathlons designed for first-time competitors, as well as the main 100km triathlon race that demanded high fitness, determination, and skill. The Event Village was filled with over 20,000 supporters, family members, and sports fans who gathered to cheer on the participants. With Dubai’s famous skyline standing tall behind the venue, the festival delivered a memorable experience for everyone involved.
The amateur race followed the exact same 100km route as the professional athletes. Competitors swam 2km, biked 80km, and finished with an 18km run. For many participants, this was the highlight of their athletic journey, as they crossed the same finish line used by some of the best triathletes in the world. Running toward the finish with the Burj Khalifa standing in the distance gave many athletes a powerful and emotional moment to remember.
In the men’s division, France’s Quentin Amaral delivered an outstanding performance to take first place with a fast time of 3 hours, 26 minutes, and 20 seconds. He showed great speed and consistency across all three segments of the race. Hungary’s David Andor followed closely behind, finishing second with a strong time of 3:34:51. Dutch athlete Bryan Van Rutten completed the top three with a time of 3:36:09, securing a well-earned third place.
The women’s division was equally competitive. Croatia’s Nika Rimaj claimed first place with an impressive time of 3 hours, 54 minutes, and 52 seconds. Her strong swim, disciplined bike ride, and determined run helped her secure the top podium spot. Russia’s Antonia Faustova finished in second place with a time of 4:01:11, maintaining steady pace throughout the course. The third-place position also went to Croatia, as Lora Zulicek Dumancic completed the race in 4:05:17 after a strong performance in all three stages.
All amateur athletes who participated in the T100 Festival demonstrated the true spirit of triathlon. They showed that world-class racing is not only for professional athletes but for anyone who is willing to work hard, challenge themselves, and push their limits. Many participants trained for months to prepare for this event, making their finish even more meaningful. Families and friends celebrated their achievements, creating a warm and encouraging environment throughout the day.
The festival also served as a reminder of how vibrant and active the sports community in Dubai has become. With thousands of amateurs taking on such tough challenges, the event highlighted the city’s growing passion for endurance sports. The well-organised support stations, safety teams, and volunteers added to the smooth and successful running of the event, making the experience enjoyable for everyone.
As the Dubai T100 Festival came to an end, participants left with a deep sense of pride and accomplishment. Whether they were first-time racers or experienced triathletes, each athlete crossed the finish line with joy, determination, and the satisfaction of completing a world-level course. The event will be remembered as one of the most exciting and inspiring celebrations of amateur sport in Dubai.
