Dubai is set to host the 25th edition of the Airport Show from May 12 to 14, 2025, at the Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC). The event will run under the theme “The Future of Airport Innovation Starts Here”, highlighting how the global aviation industry is evolving toward smarter, safer, and more sustainable operations.
The show, recognised as one of the longest-running B2B airport industry events, will bring together the entire airport ecosystem — from technology providers and regulators to operators and suppliers. More than 140 leading exhibitors from over 20 countries and 7,000 attendees from 30 nations are expected to participate, reflecting Dubai’s growing influence as a hub for global connectivity.
With aviation investments soaring across the Middle East, Africa, and South Asia (MEASA), the event aims to showcase how airports are adopting digital tools, renewable energy solutions, and resource-efficient designs. The goal is to move closer to net-zero carbon operations by 2050, with emphasis on green infrastructure and circular use of materials.
According to ACI World, airports in the Asia-Pacific and Middle East regions will attract nearly US$240 billion in investments between 2025 and 2035, focused on both upgrades and new developments. Data from Global Data (Q3 2025) shows a global airport project pipeline worth US$770.1 billion, with the MENA region leading at US$140.8 billion. Saudi Arabia holds the largest share, followed by the UAE and Bahrain.
The UAE and Saudi Arabia are at the heart of this growth. Dubai and Riyadh are developing two of the world’s largest airport projects, set to handle 260 million and 185 million passengers annually, respectively. Meanwhile, Sharjah International Airport is also expanding to accommodate 20 million passengers by 2027.
As per IATA, passenger traffic in the Middle East is projected to reach 530 million by 2043, supported by the rapid rise of carriers like Emirates, Etihad, and Qatar Airways. With the MEASA region investing around US$151 billion in airport capacity expansion by 2040, the upcoming Airport Show 2025 in Dubai is expected to be a defining platform for shaping the next generation of global aviation.
