Actress Aditi Rao Hydari has alerted her fans and followers about a case of impersonation on WhatsApp. On November 16, she took to Instagram to share a note warning the public that someone was pretending to be her on the messaging platform. The impersonator was reportedly using her pictures and contacting photographers under the pretense of arranging "photoshoots."

In her statement, Aditi clarified, “It isn’t me. I don’t reach out like this, and I don’t use any personal number for work. Everything always goes through my team.” She also shared the WhatsApp number used by the impersonator, urging her fans to exercise caution. She added, “Please be careful and don't engage with that number. If you come across anything odd, just let my team know. Thank you to all those who have my back and are so protective and kind.”

Fans and fellow celebrities reacted to the post, with comedian and influencer Kusha Kapila commenting humorously about the impersonator, highlighting that they could not replicate Aditi’s signature style or use her Instagram display picture authentically.

While the WhatsApp incident caused a minor concern for Aditi, she recently spent a peaceful weekend indulging in animal welfare activities. Last month, she shared photos on Instagram of herself playing with rescued dogs, praising the work of organizations and individuals dedicated to caring for stray and abandoned animals. She wrote, “Sundays are for cuddles and squishes. More power to these incredibly inspiring humans for rescuing and looking after these furry babies. Tight slaps to evil humans who abandon them, torture them and behave like demons.”

Aditi tagged organizations including The Pet Café Hyderabad and Devens Hope Society in her posts and expressed gratitude toward the staff and the dogs she spent time with, affectionately referring to them as Malli Poo and Mumsie Pie.

Professionally, Aditi Rao Hydari was last seen in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s series Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar, further solidifying her presence in critically acclaimed projects.

With social media impersonation cases becoming increasingly common, the actress’s warning serves as a reminder to fans to verify contacts claiming to represent celebrities and report suspicious activity promptly.
