Abu Dhabi Finance Week (ADFW) 2024 will be held from December 9 to 12. The event is supported by His Highness Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi. It is organized by Abu Dhabi Global Market (ADGM), with ADQ as the main partner. This is one of the biggest finance events of the year, bringing together top leaders, speakers, and important discussions. The theme for this year is "Welcome to the Capital of Capital."

This is the third time ADFW is taking place. It brings together financial experts, investors, and government leaders to discuss important topics like the economy, technology, and how Abu Dhabi is becoming a key place for finance. There will be more than 60 events, over 350 sessions, and around 600 speakers. More than 20,000 people are expected to attend, representing over $30 trillion in investments.
His Excellency Ahmed Jasim Al Zaabi, a leader from Abu Dhabi, said that ADFW has become a big event for global financial leaders. He added that the event shows how Abu Dhabi is becoming a leader in finance, where new ideas and teamwork help the economy grow.
Some key events that will take place again this year include the Abu Dhabi Economic Forum, Asset Abu Dhabi, RESOLVE 2024, Fintech Abu Dhabi, and the Abu Dhabi Sustainable Finance Forum (ADSFF). There will also be new events, like the UBS Investment Forum, the China-UAE Investment Summit with HSBC, the Islamic Finance Summit, and the Abu Dhabi Capital Markets Showcase.
The event will open on December 9, with leaders from Abu Dhabi and top global financial companies attending.
The Abu Dhabi Economic Forum will focus on how the economy is doing and how Abu Dhabi is playing a big role in the world’s economy. Business leaders from major companies like BlackRock, HSBC, and First Abu Dhabi Bank will attend. They will discuss how money moves around the world and Abu Dhabi’s importance in that.
On the first day, other events like the ADEF Private Leadership Forum and the Abu Dhabi Capital Markets Forum will take place. These forums will talk about investments in companies like Lulu Group, ADNOC, and Aldar.
On the second day, Asset Abu Dhabi will discuss important topics like how the world’s economy is changing, the hedge fund industry, and how technology is changing finance. Famous speakers like Ray Dalio and Robert Smith will attend.
RESOLVE 2024 will focus on legal issues, especially with new technologies like AI.
Fintech Abu Dhabi is the biggest event for financial technology in the Middle East. It will showcase new ideas in blockchain, digital security, and more. Key speakers like Jeremy Allaire from Circle and Richard Teng from Binance will talk about how technology is changing finance.
There will also be a Global Financial Regulator Summit. This event will bring together financial regulators from around the world to discuss the challenges that come with new technology in finance.
On the last day, the Abu Dhabi Sustainable Finance Forum (ADSFF) will focus on how finance can help the environment. Experts will talk about things like impact investing, carbon markets, and how finance can help fight climate change. Speakers like Sheikha Shamma bint Sultan Al Nahyan will attend.
A special session will also feature Carme Artigas Brugal, who will talk about the United Nations’ work to make rules for new technologies like AI.
Besides the main events, there will also be side events like Women in Finance, which will highlight women working in the finance world. The ADFW Venture Park will give business leaders a chance to share ideas and advice.
ADFW 2024 will be an important event where top financial experts come together to talk about the future of finance and how the global economy can grow in a better and more sustainable way.
