Under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Chairman of the Executive Council, the third edition of Abu Dhabi Finance Week (ADFW) is set to expand its scope significantly, featuring a robust agenda of 50 events and sub-events. This prominent financial event, hosted by Abu Dhabi Global Market (ADGM), will take place from December 9 to December 12, 2024, under the theme "Welcome to the Capital of Capital."

ADFW 2024 aims to delve into the multifaceted nature of Abu Dhabi’s role as a global financial hub, focusing on various dimensions including financial, human, cultural, environmental, and technological aspects. This year’s event promises to build on the success of the previous edition, which drew over 3,300 high-profile attendees, including Chairmen, CEOs, COOs, Managing Directors, and other senior executives from top global financial firms. These participants represented entities managing over $30 trillion in assets, making last year’s event a significant milestone in Abu Dhabi's financial calendar.

The upcoming ADFW will commence with an opening ceremony on December 9, featuring a distinguished guest list of international financial leaders and Abu Dhabi’s economic decision-makers. This ceremony will set the tone for the series of discussions and events scheduled for the following days. The event will include the return of several key gatherings, including the Abu Dhabi Economic Forum, which will analyze strategies and policies influencing Abu Dhabi’s economic growth and global market position. Other significant events on this day will include the ADEF Private Leadership Forum, the Abu Dhabi Capital Markets Forum, and the ADGM Gala Dinner.

The second day, December 10, will showcase the third edition of the Investors Conference Asset Abu Dhabi alongside the International Dispute Resolution Conference RESOLVE. Asset Abu Dhabi will focus on evolving public and private markets, technological investments, and insights from major hedge funds. This forum will bring together asset managers, investment bankers, and institutional investors to discuss current and future trends in the investment landscape. RESOLVE will address challenges in dispute resolution, emphasizing resilience, negotiation strategies, and the impact of technology.

On December 11, ADFW will feature MENA's largest fintech festival, Fintech Abu Dhabi, in its eighth edition. This event will bring together tech innovators, developers, and alternative investors to explore advancements in payment systems, digital assets, and cybersecurity. Complementary side events on this day will include the Global Financial Regulators Summit, the AI Forum, Blockchain Abu Dhabi, and the Risk 4.0 Risk & Security Forum, among others.

The final day, December 12, will host the seventh edition of the Abu Dhabi Sustainable Finance Forum (ADSFF). Following its special edition at COP28, ADSFF will focus on sustainable finance, climate change, and Abu Dhabi’s role in advancing green finance. Key discussions will cover regulation, awareness, collaboration, and ecosystem development aimed at achieving the UAE’s net zero goals and contributing to global sustainability efforts. Additional side events will include Women in Finance, the ADGM Academy (ADGMA) Showcase, Youth in Finance, and the Philanthropy Summit.

Newly added sub-events include the UAE-China Summit, presented by HSBC, and the UBS Investment Forum, which will feature high-level discussions with major global representatives. With its extensive and diverse programming, ADFW 2024 is poised to make a significant impact on the international financial landscape, underscoring Abu Dhabi’s commitment to innovation and sustainable growth in the financial sector.
