The Fallen Heroes’ Affairs Office has announced the launch of a weekly ceremonial event at Wahat Al Karama, starting from April 4, 2026. The ceremony will take place every Saturday at 5 PM, aiming to strengthen national values such as pride, loyalty, and belonging within the community.
The event will feature a traditional flag salute, a military musical performance, and a cavalry parade. These elements are designed to reflect the rich cultural heritage of the UAE while honoring the sacrifices of the nation’s heroes.
This initiative aligns with the goals of the UAE Year of Family, encouraging families and community members to visit the memorial and participate in a meaningful national experience. It aims to enhance social cohesion and promote shared values across society.
Each segment of the ceremony carries symbolic importance. The flag salute represents sovereignty and unity, reinforcing national pride. The military band highlights the dignity and formality of state occasions, while the cavalry parade showcases the UAE’s deep-rooted traditions and connects modern society with its historical legacy.
In addition to the ceremony, visitors will have the opportunity to explore the site’s Visitors Centre, where they can learn about inspiring stories of national service and sacrifice.
Through this weekly initiative, authorities aim to position Wahat Al Karama as a key cultural and tourism destination in Abu Dhabi, while fostering a stronger sense of national identity and encouraging active community participation.
