The Department of Municipalities and Transport (DMT) is turning heads at GITEX Global 2025 with a new wave of intelligent city technologies built to make Abu Dhabi more liveable, adaptable, and data-driven. The showcase demonstrates how digital platforms are shaping the next generation of sustainable urban living in the Emirate.

Visitors at the DMT stand are getting an inside look at how artificial intelligence, data intelligence, and digital twin technologies are coming together to transform urban planning and public services. The integrated approach helps government departments and planners anticipate urban growth, optimise resources, and enhance quality of life for residents and businesses alike.

One of the biggest highlights is LivAI, the enhanced version of DMT’s Digital Twin and AI platform. This upgraded system offers real-time insights into life across Abu Dhabi through an interactive 3D model. It tracks liveability scores by district and uses predictive analytics to help authorities make faster, more informed decisions — from infrastructure planning to resource distribution.

Adding another layer of innovation, DMT has introduced City Eye, a next-generation AI framework for city management and emergency response. City Eye links with LivAI’s mapping capabilities to monitor inspections, analyse issues, and trigger smart actions when needed. Its voice-command and predictive features help authorities act proactively, keeping city operations efficient and responsive.

The Department’s affiliate, the Integrated Transport Centre, is also stepping up with the Real-time Intelligent Traffic Safety Management System (RITSMS). This advanced platform uses an Interactive Safety Map to provide a real-time view of traffic conditions and road safety across the Emirate. By combining live data with AI-driven analysis, the system can track accident-prone areas, predict collisions, and help authorities move closer to the goal of zero road fatalities.

Adding to the line-up, DMT is unveiling the Smart Inspection Robot, debuting for the first time at GITEX 2025. Designed for parks and recreational areas, the AI-powered robot uses sensors and environmental awareness to assist with maintenance and monitor site conditions, ensuring cleaner and safer public spaces.

DMT’s participation at GITEX Global 2025 reflects Abu Dhabi’s growing commitment to building a future-ready city ecosystem powered by intelligence, integration, and innovation. With tools like LivAI, City Eye, and RITSMS leading the charge, the Emirate continues to position itself as a global benchmark for smart, sustainable, and people-centric urban development.
