Dubai is set to become the global stage for technology innovation as GITEX GLOBAL 2025 opens at the Dubai World Trade Centre from 13th to 17th October. Bringing together over 6,800 tech companies and 2,000 startups from 180 countries, the event promises to showcase the most transformative advancements in AI, quantum computing, biotechnology, robotics, semiconductors, and data centres.
With the global AI market projected to reach US$4.8 trillion by 2033, the urgency to deploy AI across industries is evident. Leading tech giants including Alibaba Cloud, AWS, Google, Microsoft, IBM, Dell, Huawei, and Oracle, will headline the event, while emerging innovators like Cerebras, Datadog, Mitsubishi, Qualcomm, and Tenstorrent debut cutting-edge solutions.
Startups Take the Spotlight
Running alongside GITEX GLOBAL is Expand North Star, hosted at Dubai Harbour from 12th-15th October. Celebrating its 10th edition, the showcase features 2,000 startups and 1,200 investors managing US$1.1 trillion, highlighting the UAE’s growing role as a global startup hub. International delegations from Brazil, Serbia, Canada, Chile, Ecuador, Spain, and Türkiye bring fresh perspectives and innovation to the platform.

Startups are presenting breakthroughs from AI-driven healthcare solutions to sustainable technologies. HurayPositive, for instance, is introducing AI-powered precision medicine capable of serving one million chronic patients, while Mammoth Biosciences explores AI-integrated CRISPR gene-editing for potential cures of genetic diseases.
AI, Quantum, and Physical Tech on Display
Visitors can experience the rise of Physical AI with innovations like Tensor’s personal robocar and K2’s industrial humanoids. In robotics, the market is expected to quadruple to US$94 billion by 2031, highlighting the sector’s growth potential.
Quantum computing takes center stage as IBM unveils Quantum System Two, and PsiQuantum and IONQ present the next steps toward large-scale fault-tolerant systems. Meanwhile, AMD and Tenstorrent showcase high-performance chips designed for AI workloads and energy-efficient data centres.
Data centre investment is booming, with global expenditure projected to exceed US$500 billion in 2025. Companies like O’Leary Ventures and Khazna demonstrate the UAE’s leadership in AI infrastructure development.
Biotech and Life Sciences Innovations
Breakthroughs in gene editing, mRNA vaccines, and AI-led drug discovery are reshaping biotech. Paradromics explores AI-driven brain-computer interfaces, while AI in biotech is expected to drive spending toward US$1.7 trillion in 2025, positioning the sector for rapid growth.
