The agreement was signed by His Excellency Saeed Ali Al Fazari, Director of Strategic Affairs at DCT Abu Dhabi; Professor Ghassan Aouad, Chancellor of Abu Dhabi University; and Dr. Stephane Andre, CEO of Rubika. This partnership brings together excellent teaching, real industry experience, and international knowledge. His Excellency Saeed Ali Al Fazari said, “This new game design degree is the first of its kind in the region. It supports our plans to boost culture and creativity in Abu Dhabi and encourages young people to follow their dreams. We want to give future game designers the best education and hands-on experience, so they can succeed in this exciting industry, right here in Abu Dhabi.”

DCT Abu Dhabi will help connect students with the industry by providing internships, mentorship programs, and links to local game companies through Abu Dhabi Gaming. Also, DCT Abu Dhabi will offer up to 140 scholarships over six years to help students join the program.

Rubika is a well-known school from France that focuses on video game design, animation, and digital arts. Rubika will lead the academic part of the program, manage the course content, and train the teachers. They will also offer students chances to study at their other campuses around the world, bringing global best practices to Abu Dhabi.

Dr. Stephane Andre, CEO of Rubika, said, “Working with ADU and DCT Abu Dhabi is a great chance for Rubika. We wanted a reliable partner in the Emirates for a long time. Our plan is to work in places with strong cultural backgrounds. We encourage our students to use their culture in their creative work to add to the world’s culture through games and animated films.”

Abu Dhabi University will host the new program on its campus. The university will make sure the program meets national education standards and provides students with a mix of innovative learning and practical experience.

Professor Ghassan Aouad, Chancellor of Abu Dhabi University, said, “We are dedicated to offering courses that support the UAE’s goals for innovation. This partnership shows our commitment to matching education with the needs of new industries. By starting this dual-certified game design degree, we are giving students special training that will open career doors both inside the UAE and around the world.”

Together, these partners want to make Abu Dhabi a top place for learning game design. They aim to give students skills that are competitive globally and help Abu Dhabi grow its economy by focusing on culture, creativity, and innovation.
