Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) player Digvesh Rathi has been banned for one match by the Indian Premier League (IPL) Governing Council. This decision was taken because Rathi broke the rules of the league multiple times.
Rathi, who plays as a spinner, had already been punished twice earlier by the IPL. These punishments were given because of the way he celebrated after taking wickets. His celebrations were considered too much or not in the right spirit of the game.
The final incident happened during LSG’s match against Sunrisers Hyderabad on Monday. During the game, Rathi got into a heated argument with Abhishek Sharma, who was batting for Hyderabad. The situation got so tense that umpires and other players had to step in and calm things down.

Because of these repeated actions, the IPL Governing Council decided to suspend Digvesh Rathi for one match. This means he will not be allowed to play in LSG’s next game.
The IPL has a Code of Conduct, which all players must follow to ensure fair play and respect on the field. Since Rathi was found guilty of breaking this code more than once, the suspension was given to send a clear message that such behaviour is not acceptable.
This incident reminds all players to keep their emotions in check and play the game in the right spirit.
