The second round of the UAE Jet Ski Championship will take place on 15th and 16th November at the scenic Abu Dhabi Corniche, promising a weekend full of high-speed excitement and international competition. The event is organised by the Abu Dhabi Marine Sports Club and held under the supervision of the UAE Marine Sports Federation as part of the 2025 national marine sports calendar.

This annual championship has become one of the UAE’s most anticipated water sports events, attracting professional and amateur riders from across the country and the world.

The championship will feature top jet ski riders from across the UAE, along with international participants from several Gulf, European, and Asian countries. The event continues to serve as a major platform for showcasing the UAE’s growing reputation in water sports and its ability to host world-class competitions.

Organisers expect a large number of spectators along the Corniche waterfront, where fans will witness thrilling races and freestyle performances throughout the weekend.

This year’s competition will include several racing categories, ensuring that both seasoned professionals and emerging talents have the chance to compete. The categories include:

  • Stand-Up Professional (GP1)

  • Stand-Up Junior (GP2)

  • Sit-Down Professional (GP2)

  • Sit-Down Novice (GP3)

  • Sit-Down Spark (GP4)

  • Freestyle Show (Freestyle category)

  • Junior categories (3.1, 3.2, and 3.3)

Each race will test the riders’ speed, control, and endurance, offering spectators an exciting display of athleticism and skill on the water.

The event will begin on Friday, 15th November, with the registration of participants, followed by technical inspections to ensure all jet skis meet safety and performance standards. Riders will then attend a briefing session to review race routes, regulations, and safety measures.

The first stage of racing will start on Saturday morning, featuring intense qualifying rounds across all categories. On Sunday, the second stage will take place, determining the final standings. The championship will conclude with an official awards ceremony, where the winners will be crowned in front of fans, media, and sports officials.

Thani Al Qemzi, Executive Director of Team Abu Dhabi and Modern Marine Sports, emphasised that the UAE Jet Ski Championship is a key milestone in the nation’s marine sports calendar. He highlighted the event’s role in promoting marine sports culture, improving technical standards, and nurturing Emirati talent in international water sports.

Al Qemzi added that the championship demonstrates Abu Dhabi’s commitment to organizing world-class sports events, while providing a platform for young athletes to gain experience and confidence. He also praised the Abu Dhabi Marine Sports Club’s continuous efforts to advance the sport through training, facilities, and international collaborations.

The Abu Dhabi Corniche is known for its beautiful coastal views, making it an ideal setting for such an energetic event. The championship also contributes to sports tourism, attracting visitors from different parts of the world to experience Abu Dhabi’s culture, hospitality, and sporting excellence.

The event encourages community participation, with local families and water sports fans gathering to support their favorite riders. It also provides an opportunity for the younger generation to learn about marine sports, inspiring them to participate in future competitions.

Over the years, Abu Dhabi has emerged as a global hub for marine sports, hosting several international championships in jet skiing, powerboating, and sailing. The UAE Jet Ski Championship is part of this larger vision to promote sustainable, safe, and world-class marine sports activities.

The event’s success reflects the country’s investment in sporting infrastructure and its strategy to make the UAE a center for international water sports events. With each round, the championship attracts new talent, enhances technical expertise, and boosts the UAE’s standing in the global sports arena.

As the race weekend approaches, excitement continues to build among participants and fans. The combination of top-level competition, scenic location, and strong organizational support ensures that the second round of the UAE Jet Ski Championship will be a memorable event.

With riders from around the world ready to test their skills on the Corniche waters, Abu Dhabi once again reinforces its position as a leading destination for marine sports and adventure activities in the region.
