Abu Dhabi Finance Week (ADFW) finished its third edition on December 12, 2024. The event was very important in the world of finance. It was supported by His Highness Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi. Abu Dhabi Global Market (ADGM) hosted the event, with ADQ as the main partner. More than 20,000 people from all over the world joined.

This year’s theme was “Welcome to the Capital of Capital.” The event talked about different types of capital, like money, knowledge, culture, and technology. There were over 350 sessions in more than 60 events. Some new events were the UBS Investor Forum, the Islamic Finance Summit, and the Abu Dhabi Capital Markets Showcase.
The event also celebrated 40 years of UAE-China relations. A special meeting, the UAE-China Investment Forum, was held with HSBC.
His Excellency Ahmed Jasim Al Zaabi, a leader in Abu Dhabi, said, “Abu Dhabi Finance Week is a great chance for leaders to meet and talk about the future. Abu Dhabi is the perfect place for these talks. This event shows the world trusts our city.”
Over 600 speakers, including leaders from big financial companies, shared their thoughts on the world economy. The first day of the event focused on Abu Dhabi becoming an important place in the world’s economy.
The second day had the Abu Dhabi Economic Forum (ADEF). Experts talked about the future of Abu Dhabi’s economy. Big companies like Blackrock, UBS, HSBC, and Mubadala joined the discussion.
Another big event was Asset Abu Dhabi, where experts talked about how to manage a lot of money. These experts handle over $42 trillion in assets.
The last day had the Abu Dhabi Sustainable Finance Forum (ADSFF). It focused on how money can help solve environmental problems. The forum also talked about the UAE’s plan to reduce carbon emissions and how new technology can help with climate issues. 44 new members joined the Abu Dhabi Sustainable Finance Declaration, bringing the total to 160 members working for a greener world.
RESOLVE, an event about staying strong in business, was also part of the week. Leaders shared how being strong helps businesses succeed.
Fintech Abu Dhabi, the biggest event for technology and finance in the Middle East, also took place. Famous speakers included former UK Prime Minister Lord David Cameron and HRH Prince Khaled bin Alwaleed bin Talal Al Saud.
During the week, 44 agreements were signed. This shows Abu Dhabi is an important place for business deals. Agreements were made with companies and financial centers from cities like Istanbul and Beijing.
ADFW 2024 showed that Abu Dhabi is becoming a big place in the world of finance. With ADFW 2025 planned for December 8-11, 2025, Abu Dhabi will continue growing as a global center for finance.
