The 23rd edition of the Dubai International Arabian Horse Championship has officially begun at the Dubai World Trade Centre, reinforcing the UAE’s position as a leading global hub for equestrian excellence.
This year’s championship has attracted 155 elite Arabian horses representing 12 countries, reflecting strong international participation. On the opening day, 18 horses successfully qualified for the final rounds, setting the stage for intense competition ahead.
Chairman of the Higher Organising Committee, Ziad Galadari, highlighted that the diverse global turnout underscores the international community’s confidence in the UAE’s organisational strength. He emphasized that the nation continues to provide a secure, world-class platform for prestigious sporting events while preserving the rich heritage of purebred Arabian horses.
The seamless execution of the event has been widely praised, with organisers ensuring top-tier logistical planning. Exhibition halls were swiftly converted into professional competition arenas, demonstrating operational excellence. Additionally, strict adherence to international animal welfare standards during transport and care has remained a top priority.
Experts and participants alike have commended the championship for its consistent growth and evolution. It is widely regarded as one of the most prestigious events in the global equestrian calendar.
Beyond competition, the championship serves as a vital platform for showcasing elite equine talent and strengthening international collaboration. The event continues to elevate Dubai’s global reputation in hosting world-class sporting experiences.
