Yas Island and Saadiyat Island win 190+ awards and recognitions in 2024

Yas Island and Saadiyat Island, part of Miral, have achieved an impressive milestone in 2024 by winning more than 190 regional and international awards. This highlights their continuous efforts in strengthening the leisure and entertainment sector across Abu Dhabi.

Yas Island earned a total of 175 awards, while Saadiyat Island stood out for its luxury resorts, cultural landmarks, and exceptional dining options. These achievements showcase Miral’s dedication to making Abu Dhabi a leading global destination for both leisure and entertainment.

Mohamed Abdalla Al Zaabi, the Group CEO of Miral, shared his pride in the success: “Through consistent innovation and excellence, we are proud to play a part in the growth of Abu Dhabi’s tourism sector. Every new recognition for Yas Island and Saadiyat Island is not only a benchmark but also a step towards positioning the Emirates as a globally renowned tourism hub. We take great pride in these accomplishments, which contribute to the economic growth of Abu Dhabi.”

Among the standout accomplishments of Yas Island, it was honored for the second consecutive year as the World’s Leading Theme Park Destination by the World Travel Awards. It also won the title of Best Integrated Leisure Destination at the 2024 MENALAC Awards. Furthermore, Yas Island was recognized as the Best Entertainment Destination at the national level by the International Travel Awards.

Ferrari World Yas Island celebrated its fifth consecutive victory as the World’s Leading Theme Park at the World Travel Awards. It also won the Best Indoor Theme Park award at the International Travel Awards and received the Achievement in Product Innovation award at the MENA Stevie Awards for its Mission Ferrari ride.

Yas Waterworld was named the Middle East’s Leading Water Park at the World Travel Awards. Warner Bros. World™ Yas Island earned the title of the Middle East’s Leading Tourist Attraction and also won Favourite Attraction at the 2024 What’s On Awards. CLYMB™ Yas Island also received recognition, earning titles like Middle East’s Leading Adventure Tourist Attraction 2024 and Leading Adventure Tourist Attraction at the 2024 Global Brand Awards.

SeaWorld Abu Dhabi garnered over 20 regional and international accolades, including the Guinness World Record for being the Largest Marine-Life Theme Park. The park also won the Best PR Campaign Crisis Communication award at the 2024 PRCA Awards and received multiple honors at the MENALAC Awards, including Most New Unique Concept Attraction and Best Edutainment Centre 2024.

The SeaWorld Abu Dhabi grand opening campaign also earned dual Gold Stevie Awards in Communication PR Campaign of the Year and Brand and Experience categories at the International Business Awards. In addition, the park was named Best Marine-Life Theme Park at the Global Brand Awards.

Yas Island received further honors, including the Best Regional PR Campaign of the Year at the 2024 PRCA Awards and Best Arabic Language Campaign at the 2024 MEPRA Awards for its GCC campaign with the Kuwait duo Miami Band. At the EFFIE Awards MENA, Yas Island took home five awards, including a Gold in Influencer Marketing and a Silver in Branded Content and Entertainment. Additionally, Yas Island secured 15 recognitions at the Smarties Awards across the MEA, MENA, and Global levels.

Yas Island and its theme parks also earned 12 wins at the 2024 MENA Stevie Awards. Among them, the GCC campaign won Gold for Innovation in Lifestyle Videos, and the Chief Island Officer campaign received a Gold Stevie Award for Innovation in Branded Entertainment. SeaWorld Abu Dhabi was honored with four awards, including Bronze Stevie Awards for Innovation in the Use of Events and Achievement in Product Innovation.

Yas Bay Waterfront gained six prestigious honors at the 2024 What’s On Awards in Abu Dhabi. It also received five wins at the Time Out Abu Dhabi Awards and six at the FACT Dining Awards, further establishing its reputation for culinary excellence. Yas Marina claimed six awards, including the Gold Award for Innovation at the Abu Dhabi Maritime Awards. Hilton Abu Dhabi Yas Island bagged 12 accolades, including the Best Hotel in Abu Dhabi 2024 at the Business Traveller Awards. W Abu Dhabi – Yas Island earned the title of Middle East’s Leading Lifestyle Hotel at the World Travel Awards.

Yas Links was named the Middle East’s Best Golf Clubhouse at the 2024 World Golf Awards, while Etihad Arena won three awards, including Best Venue at the Middle East Event Awards 2024 and the People’s Choice Award at the Eventex Awards. Yas Marina Circuit, home of the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, earned 13 awards in 2024, including Favourite Sporting Event at the What’s On Awards and Brand Experience in Sports for the Formula 1 Etihad Airways Abu Dhabi Grand Prix at the Eventex Awards.

Saadiyat Island also earned more than 20 prestigious awards. It was recognized as the Best Luxury Beachfront Destination in the UAE by The Luxury Lifestyle Awards and the Middle East’s Leading Beach Destination by the World Travel Awards. It also received several honors at the International Travel Awards. Saadiyat Island won the Best Wedding Campaign 2024 at The Abu Dhabi Wedding Awards and received a Silver Stevie Award for Innovative Achievement in Sustainability at the MENA Stevie Awards, underscoring its commitment to sustainable practices.

Miral Destinations received six awards at the International CX Awards 2024, including Gold for Best CX Team of the Year and Best Omni-Channel Experience. Yas Island was named Best Leisure and Entertainment Destination for 2024 at the China Travel Trade Media Awards, and Miral Destinations won Outstanding Strategic Partner of the Year at the Trip.com Awards.

Ferrari World Abu Dhabi, Warner Bros. World™ Abu Dhabi, and SeaWorld Abu Dhabi were all recognized as part of the 2024 Global Top 100 Family Attractions. Additionally, Miral Destinations was named Best Partner of the Year, and Yas Island was honored as the Most Popular Family Destination.

These achievements reflect the growing global recognition and success of Yas Island, Saadiyat Island, and Miral’s commitment to making Abu Dhabi a top-tier destination for leisure and entertainment.
