WhatsApp to Stop Working on These iPhone Models by 2025

WhatsApp will stop working on iPhones that have iOS 15.0 or older versions starting May 5, 2025. This is part of WhatsApp's efforts to provide better features and security by focusing on newer technology.

If your iPhone can’t be updated to iOS 15.1 or later, WhatsApp will no longer work on it. Some older iPhone models like iPhone 5s, iPhone 6, and iPhone 6 Plus will stop supporting WhatsApp if they can’t be updated.

If you own one of these older iPhones, you should check if you can update your phone to iOS 15.1 or later to continue using WhatsApp. If not, you may need to upgrade to a newer iPhone that can support the latest software.

Android users will not face any changes because WhatsApp will still work for Android phones that use Android 5.0 or newer.

It is very important to keep your iPhone updated. Updates give you access to new features, better security, and a smooth experience on WhatsApp. Also, avoid using jailbroken or altered iPhones because WhatsApp doesn’t support them.

Make sure to keep your phone updated so you can enjoy WhatsApp without any problems.
