Farmers in the Dashoguz Region have wrapped up spring planting with a focus on vital vegetable crops such as onions, carrots, and cabbages, enhancing their contribution to the agricultural supply chain. Key areas like Boldumsaz have seen extensive cultivation dedicated to these vegetables.
Recent agricultural statistics reveal that onions were sown across 120 hectares, carrots on 70 hectares, and cabbages on 40 hectares in prominent farming zones. Other areas like Akdepe, Shavat, and Garashsyzlyk are also maintaining strong production, with Garashsyzlyk striving to emerge as a leader in overall vegetable yield in the region.
In total, over 2,200 hectares have been set aside for onion farming this season alone. Farmers are aiming for impressive yields of at least 250 centners per hectare by adopting enhanced agricultural practices, making informed crop choices, and optimizing water use. Their seasonal strategies involve cultivating specific crops in both the spring and autumn.
The region's agricultural success can be linked to scientific farming methods, the adoption of modern machinery, and an expansion of greenhouse facilities. These initiatives support year-round vegetable production, providing a consistent supply of fresh and healthy produce to consumers.
