A total of 325 male and female shooters will take part in the fourth leg of the UAE Licensed Weapons Shooting Championship, which will be held at the Al Ain Equestrian, Shooting, and Golf Club on November 15 and 16. The event marks another milestone in the championship’s calendar and promises intense competition among the participants in different categories.

The organizing committee of the championship confirmed in an official statement that the Al Ain round will feature several rifle shooting competitions across three divisions — men’s, women’s, and juniors’ categories. The event will also include a crowning ceremony where three gold champions, one from each category, will be honored with special recognition for their outstanding performances.

According to the committee, 229 shooters will compete in the men’s air rifle category, 47 shooters will participate in the women’s air rifle category, and 49 competitors will take part in the junior air rifle category. The large number of participants highlights the growing popularity of shooting sports in the UAE and reflects the championship’s success in attracting talented marksmen and markswomen from across the country.

The organizing body praised the strong participation levels achieved throughout the previous rounds of the championship. The earlier competitions took place in Al Dhafra, Ajman, and Masfout, each witnessing remarkable performances and a high level of technical skill from shooters in all categories. The committee noted that the enthusiasm and excellence seen in these rounds serve as a major motivation for participants to continue showing their best in the upcoming Al Ain stage.

Officials added that the success of previous rounds has built great excitement for the fourth leg, as many athletes are eager to test their precision and consistency under competitive pressure. The event not only helps in identifying new talent but also strengthens the UAE’s position as a key supporter of shooting sports within the region.

The committee extended its appreciation to the Al Ain Equestrian and Shooting Club for hosting the event and for providing excellent facilities that ensure the comfort and safety of participants. The venue is known for its world-class infrastructure and has become a preferred destination for national and international shooting competitions.

The committee further explained that the Al Ain club’s team has implemented strict safety and security measures to guarantee a smooth and professional competition. These measures align with the championship’s core strategy of organizing all events under the highest standards of safety, discipline, and fair play.

The UAE Licensed Weapons Shooting Championship is recognized for promoting the values of discipline, precision, and focus among participants, while also highlighting the cultural importance of shooting as a traditional sport in the Emirates. Each round of the championship brings together shooters from diverse backgrounds, providing them an opportunity to showcase their talent and improve their technical skills under professional supervision.

This tournament is part of the UAE’s larger commitment to developing shooting sports as a key area of national excellence. The championship aims to train and inspire young shooters, prepare them for international competitions, and create a culture of responsible and safe weapon handling. The inclusion of junior participants in the event also reflects the country’s focus on nurturing future champions who can represent the UAE globally.

The organizing committee emphasized that the Al Ain round is expected to be one of the most exciting stages yet, as top shooters will be competing for gold and national recognition. The championship not only celebrates sporting excellence but also provides a platform for participants to develop camaraderie and respect within the shooting community.

Many participants, especially in the junior category, see this championship as an opportunity to gain valuable experience and to learn from senior shooters who have represented the UAE in regional and international events. The event will also offer participants a chance to qualify for higher-level competitions in the future.

The championship has been a great success since its start, and it continues to grow in scale and popularity with each round. With its well-structured organization, skilled competitors, and strong support from UAE sports authorities, the event has become a key part of the country’s annual sports calendar.

As the Al Ain Equestrian and Shooting Club prepares to welcome hundreds of athletes, fans, and organizers, the stage is set for two days of intense yet friendly competition that will celebrate skill, focus, and sportsmanship. The tournament not only strengthens the sporting culture of the UAE but also demonstrates the nation’s ability to host large-scale, well-managed sporting events in a safe and professional environment.
