In a move set to redefine consular assistance, the UAE has introduced a comprehensive support package for its Golden Visa holders traveling abroad. The initiative promises faster, streamlined services for emergencies, including passport loss, health crises, and repatriation needs.
The service, unveiled at GITEX Global in Dubai by the Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Port Security (ICP) in collaboration with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, aims to ensure continuous care for residents even while they are outside the country.

Under the new system, travelers whose passports are lost or damaged can obtain a return document within 30 minutes, eliminating the need for lengthy embassy visits. This document can be accessed conveniently through a dedicated app or official website, providing swift re-entry into the UAE.
Golden Visa holders will also have access to a 24/7 hotline for inquiries, emergency situations, and evacuation assistance. In cases of death abroad, the ministry will facilitate repatriation or burial services, ensuring families can manage final arrangements seamlessly.
By offering these services, the UAE is not only strengthening its commitment to residents’ safety abroad but also setting a benchmark in global consular care. This package reflects the country’s proactive approach in leveraging technology and centralized support systems to respond to crises quickly.
The rollout for all Golden Visa holders begins immediately, with further updates expected on app availability and detailed eligibility guidelines through official government channels.
