UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan spoke with former U.S. President Donald Trump over the phone about stopping the war in Gaza. They talked about ways to bring peace and help people suffering in the area.
Sheikh Mohamed said it is very important to send food, medicine, and other help to the people of Gaza. He also said that the UAE supports a two-state solution, which means both Israelis and Palestinians should have their own countries to live in peace.

The call was not just about Gaza. They also talked about how the UAE and the U.S. can work together in different fields. One key topic was new deals between the two countries in artificial intelligence and advanced technology. These deals were made when Sheikh Tahnoon bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Ruler of Abu Dhabi and National Security Adviser, visited the U.S.
During that visit, both countries agreed to work together on big projects in energy, technology, and building new infrastructure. These agreements will help both countries grow and improve their industries.
At the same time, the war in Gaza has become worse. A ceasefire that lasted two months ended on March 18, and fighting started again. Since then, nearly 700 people have died.
Since the war started in October 2023, Palestinian health officials say that more than 50,000 people have been killed in Gaza. Israel has reported that Hamas fighters killed over 1,200 people, mostly civilians, and took around 250 people as hostages.
Sheikh Mohamed’s call with Trump showed that the UAE is working hard to stop the war, help the people in Gaza, and keep strong ties with the U.S.
