President of the UAE, His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, welcomed His Majesty King Abdullah II bin Al-Hussein of Jordan at Qasr Al Bateen in Abu Dhabi. The visit was part of the strong and friendly ties between the two nations.
During their meeting, the two leaders discussed ways to strengthen their relationship and increase cooperation in different areas. They emphasized their commitment to working together for the benefit of both their countries and their people.
Talks on Regional Issues
In addition to their bilateral relations, Sheikh Mohamed and King Abdullah talked about important regional matters. A major topic of discussion was the situation in Gaza. They stressed the need for an immediate ceasefire and highlighted the importance of continuing humanitarian aid to the people in Gaza. They also firmly rejected any attempts to force the Palestinian people out of their land.

Both leaders agreed that more efforts should be made to maintain peace and prevent conflicts from escalating in the region. They underlined the need for continuous consultation and coordination on matters of common interest to serve the best interests of their nations and promote Arab unity.
Iftar Banquet in Honor of King Abdullah II
After their meeting, Sheikh Mohamed hosted an iftar banquet in honour of King Abdullah and his accompanying delegation. The gathering further reflected the deep bond between the two nations.

His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs

Departure from Abu Dhabi
After completing his visit, King Abdullah II left Abu Dhabi from Al Bateen Airport. President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed personally bid him farewell, along with other UAE leaders and officials.
The visit was a reflection of the strong friendship and cooperation between the UAE and Jordan, and both leaders reaffirmed their dedication to working together for regional peace and prosperity.
