Abu Dhabi has opened the doors to a celebration of creativity as the Ministry of Culture launches ‘Creative Expressions’, a dynamic exhibition running until 9th January 2026 at the National Theatre and Abu Dhabi Cultural Centre. The showcase highlights the extraordinary work of artists supported by the Ministry’s flagship programs, presenting a rare glimpse into the evolving UAE creative landscape.
The exhibition brings together recipients of the National Grant Programme for Culture and Creativity, contributors to the Creative Market Programme, and participants from the artist-in-residence initiative. It offers visitors a diverse mix of artistic disciplines, ranging from literature, visual arts, and performing arts to film, design, music, and video games.
What sets Creative Expressions apart is its focus on the creative journeys behind the art. Visitors are invited to explore the milestones, challenges, and inspirations that have shaped the featured artists’ paths. Interactive sessions allow audiences to connect with the creators and gain insight into the growth of their careers, reflecting the Ministry’s commitment to nurturing local and resident talent.
The exhibition features a vibrant mix of Emirati and resident artists, including Azza Al Qubaisi, Ahmed Emad, Hessa Al Zaabi, Tala Hammoud Atrouni, Sara Al Rumaithi, Samia Saleh, and Mohamed Dardiri, among many others. Together, they represent a spectrum of creative voices that contribute to the UAE’s cultural identity and artistic innovation.
Creative Expressions also traces the Ministry’s comprehensive support ecosystem, from production grants to capacity-building programs, promotional initiatives, and research projects. The exhibition showcases the tangible outcomes of these programs, highlighting how investment in talent has strengthened the UAE’s cultural and creative economy.
For visitors, the exhibition is more than a display of artworks—it is an immersive narrative of creativity, exploring how local and resident artists continue to redefine the nation’s artistic landscape while fostering innovation across multiple disciplines.
