Smokey Robinson Faces New Sexual Assault Allegations

Legendary singer Smokey Robinson is facing new sexual assault allegations from two former employees, six months after four women filed a $50 million lawsuit against him. The new accusers, identified as John Doe 1 and Jane Doe 5, claim Robinson tried to force them to touch him inappropriately.

Jane Doe 5 said she endured repeated harassment while working as a housekeeper for Robinson between 2005 and 2011, alleging that he asked her to enter the bathroom while he showered and scrub his back. John Doe 1, who worked on the Robinsons’ cars starting in 2013, claimed Robinson approached him wearing only underwear and engaged in inappropriate behavior. He said the harassment caused humiliation, emotional distress, and ongoing fear for his safety.

All accusers stated they eventually quit due to the assaults and feared coming forward because of potential retaliation, public shame, and immigration concerns. The new allegations mirror those in the original lawsuit, involving similar locations, time periods, and conduct.

Robinson’s lawyer, Christopher Frost, denied the claims, calling the lawsuit “an organized avaricious campaign to extract money from an 85-year-old legend.” A hearing on the amended complaint is scheduled for January 6, 2026. Robinson is under investigation by the Special Victims Bureau for sexual assault.
