Dr. Ali Rashid Al Nuaimi, Chairman of the Defence Affairs, Interior, and Foreign Affairs Committee at the Federal National Council (FNC), recently met Illés Boglárka, State Secretary for Bilateral Relations at Hungary’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade. The meeting took place at the ministry headquarters in Budapest during the official visit of the FNC delegation to Hungary.

Dr. Al Nuaimi highlighted the long-standing and historic friendship between the UAE and Hungary. He emphasized that the official visit, led by FNC Speaker Saqr Ghobash, plays a key role in strengthening parliamentary relations and enhancing existing partnerships between the two countries.

During the visit, the FNC and Hungary’s National Assembly signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to promote cooperation and mutual understanding. Both sides also issued a joint statement underlining the importance of boosting bilateral relations. The statement reaffirmed their commitment to constructive dialogue and highlighted the role of parliamentary diplomacy in promoting peace, stability, and sustainable development.

Dr. Al Nuaimi pointed out the UAE’s approach to encouraging tolerance and coexistence. He mentioned the significance of the Abraham Accords in promoting peace in the region and stressed the UAE’s leading humanitarian initiatives. He also spoke about the country’s important role in strengthening regional and international security and peace.

Illés Boglárka praised the close friendship and cooperation between Hungary and the UAE. She confirmed her country’s interest in further developing relations across different fields. She highlighted that official visits, such as this one, and signing bilateral agreements are essential steps in expanding cooperation and achieving broader mutual goals.

Both leaders agreed that parliamentary dialogue is a vital tool for improving understanding and collaboration between nations. Through joint initiatives, consultations, and regular exchange of visits, the UAE and Hungary can work together on matters of mutual interest while supporting global peace and stability.

The FNC delegation’s visit is expected to open new opportunities for joint projects and partnerships. Both sides emphasized that ongoing communication, collaboration, and shared values will continue to strengthen the strong bond between the two countries. The UAE’s focus on humanitarian aid, tolerance, and peace aligns with Hungary’s vision of expanding international cooperation for sustainable development.
