H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister, and Minister of Defence of the UAE, met today with Dragan Krapović, Minister of Defence of Montenegro. The meeting took place on the sidelines of the Dubai Airshow 2025, one of the world’s largest events for aviation, aerospace, and defence industries.
Sheikh Hamdan welcomed the visiting official and expressed the UAE’s appreciation for its growing relationship with Montenegro. He said that the UAE leadership is committed to deepening its ties with Montenegro and strengthening cooperation with Balkan countries. He added that the friendship between the two nations is based on trust, respect, and shared goals that support the future development of both sides.
During the discussion, Sheikh Hamdan highlighted the importance of expanding joint cooperation. He noted that both countries can benefit from sharing expertise in several sectors, including economic growth, cultural exchanges, and defence development. He explained that exchanging best practices helps both nations advance their capabilities and open new paths for development.
Sheikh Hamdan also spoke about the UAE’s long-standing commitment to supporting global peace. He stressed that peace is the key foundation for sustainable development and long-term success. He said that the UAE believes in dialogue, understanding, and peaceful solutions as the best way to resolve conflicts. He also said that the UAE will continue to support efforts that strengthen stability and promote prosperity in the region and the world.
Dragan Krapović expressed his country’s appreciation for the UAE’s active and positive role at regional and global levels. He praised the UAE’s efforts to promote peace, constructive dialogue, and development projects that benefit different communities worldwide. He also admired the UAE’s successful hosting of major global events that encourage cooperation between nations.
The Montenegro Defence Minister praised the Dubai Airshow for its huge global impact. He said that the event brings together world leaders, innovators, and defence technology developers. It helps shape the future of aviation, aerospace, and defence industries by showcasing the latest technologies, advanced systems, and innovative solutions that support societal progress and future opportunities.
The meeting also covered important regional and international issues. Both sides discussed the latest developments in the Middle East, including efforts to strengthen security and stability in the region. They also spoke about the importance of achieving comprehensive and lasting peace, which supports development and benefits all nations.
The meeting was attended by Mohamed bin Mubarak bin Fadhel Al Mazrouei, Minister of State for Defence Affairs, and Major General Khalifa Rashid Al Hamli, Director of the Office of the Minister of Defence. Their presence reflected the UAE’s strong interest in enhancing defence cooperation and supporting international partnerships.
The discussion concluded with both sides agreeing to continue working together in defence, development, and global peace-building efforts. The meeting strengthened the relationship between the UAE and Montenegro and opened new doors for future cooperation in multiple fields.
