The Toronto Raptors won an exciting game against the Charlotte Hornets with a close score of 110-108. The match took place on Monday night, and it stayed tight from start to finish. The winning basket came from RJ Barrett, who made a strong layup with only 18 seconds left in the game. This final shot gave the Raptors the lead they needed to secure the victory.
Barrett finished the night with 16 important points, and his last basket proved to be the most important moment of the game. The crowd celebrated as he drove to the basket and scored under pressure.
The Toronto Raptors are currently in very good form. This win was their fourth straight victory and their eighth win in their last nine games. Their confidence is growing with every match, and several players contributed strongly once again.
Brandon Ingram led the Raptors with 27 points, showing strong shooting and leadership on the court. Immanuel Quickley added 15 points and also grabbed 10 rebounds, giving the team solid support on both offense and defense.
Scottie Barnes scored 16 points and played a major key role on defense. As the final seconds ticked down, the Hornets attempted a last shot to tie or win the game, but Barnes blocked it beautifully. His block sealed the victory for Toronto.
Jakob Poeltl added 13 points and nine rebounds, while Gradey Dick contributed 10 points from the bench.
The Charlotte Hornets played a very competitive game and pushed the Raptors all the way to the end. Kon Knueppel was their top scorer with an impressive 24 points. He kept Charlotte close throughout the game.
Miles Bridges added 22 points and played with a lot of energy. LaMelo Ball scored 20 points, even though he was hit in the nose by an elbow early in the third quarter, which caused some bleeding and discomfort. Despite this injury scare, he continued playing and made several key plays.
Collin Sexton had 17 points, including a clutch three-pointer late in the game. Ryan Kalkbrenner added seven points and collected 10 rebounds, helping Charlotte stay strong in the paint.
The Hornets showed a lot of determination. They managed to take the lead late in the fourth quarter when Moussa Diabate blocked a shot and then scored a dunk to give Charlotte a 105-104 lead with just over two minutes remaining.
The Raptors started the game well and led 28-24 after the first quarter. In the second quarter, Charlotte tied the game at 28, but then made a few turnovers. Toronto used these mistakes to go on a 10-0 run, which helped them build momentum.
Later, Sexton hit a corner three-pointer after a block by Bridges, cutting the Raptors’ lead to just five points. Toronto pushed the lead back to 12, but the Hornets finished the second quarter strong with a 7-0 run, ending the half with Toronto ahead 57-52.
At the start of the third quarter, Knueppel helped Charlotte tie the game again. Bridges hit a three-pointer to give the Hornets a 66-64 lead. However, Toronto responded with a strong 12-2 run and regained control. The Raptors were ahead 85-83 by the end of the third quarter.
The fourth quarter was full of action. Charlotte tied the game early, and both teams exchanged baskets constantly. Sexton’s late three-pointer brought the Hornets within one point, and Diabate’s dunk gave them a brief lead.
But with less than a minute left, Scottie Barnes tied the game with a powerful dunk. Then RJ Barrett made the winning layup with 18 seconds remaining. The Hornets had one final chance, but Barnes blocked their shot as time expired.
This close win keeps the Raptors’ strong run going and shows their ability to stay calm under pressure.
