H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the UAE, welcomed Katherina Reiche, Germany’s Federal Minister for Economic Affairs and Energy, in Abu Dhabi. The meeting took place as part of the UAE’s efforts to strengthen international partnerships and explore new opportunities for cooperation with friendly nations. Both sides expressed their commitment to building a strong, long-term partnership that supports development and progress in both countries.

During the meeting, Sheikh Abdullah and Minister Reiche discussed the strategic relationship between the UAE and Germany. They spoke about how relations between the two countries have grown over the years and how both nations continue to work together in many important fields. The UAE and Germany share strong diplomatic, economic and social ties, and both sides agreed that these connections should continue to expand.

A major part of the discussion focused on economic cooperation. Both leaders explained that the UAE and Germany have a shared interest in strengthening trade and investment. They talked about ways to expand joint projects, attract investment, and support companies from both countries. Germany is an important economic partner for the UAE, and the UAE is one of Germany’s strongest partners in the Middle East. By increasing cooperation, both governments hope to support their national development plans and provide new opportunities for their people.

Energy cooperation was another important topic. The UAE and Germany have been working together on clean energy, renewable energy, and environmental sustainability. During the meeting, both sides discussed how they can expand cooperation in energy projects that support long-term goals such as reducing emissions, improving energy efficiency and investing in advanced technologies. The UAE and Germany share a strong interest in supporting global climate action, and this partnership helps both countries lead in clean energy solutions.

In addition to economic and energy topics, Sheikh Abdullah and Minister Reiche also explored cooperation in other important areas. These included trade, technology, infrastructure, education and innovation. They agreed that partnerships in these fields will help both countries prepare for the future and support sustainable growth. They also exchanged views on several regional and international issues of common interest, highlighting the importance of regular dialogue and strong diplomatic communication.

Sheikh Abdullah reaffirmed that the UAE deeply values its relationship with Germany. He said that both nations have a strong and friendly partnership built on mutual trust and shared goals. He added that the UAE is committed to working closely with Germany to expand cooperation in all fields that support sustainable progress, economic stability and development for their people.
